IM Global was founded in March 2007 by CEO Stuart Ford. The company is one of the leading film financing, production, sales and distribution companies in the world, championing a wide variety of cinema, including mainstream commercial, art house, foreign language and genre fare through the company’s five operating divisions, IM GLOBAL OPUS, IM GLOBAL ACCLAIM, IM GLOBAL ANTHEM, and IM GLOBAL OCTANE, as well as through IM GLOBAL APSARA, a rights acquisition and distribution vehicle that serves the rapidly evolving Asian markets. The company is also a party to several high profile joint venture companies: including AUTOMATIK, a production and financing joint venture with E1 Entertainment; MUNDIAL, a Mexico City-based joint venture with CANANA, one of Latin America’s top production and independent distributors, focused exclusively on worldwide sales of Latin and Ibero-American cinema; and BLUMHOUSE INTERNATIONAL, for which the company has an international distribution and servicing agreement with the foreign sales arm of the industry’s leading genre film producer, Blumhouse Productions. In May 2010, Reliance Entertainment, part of Indian conglomerate Reliance ADA Group, acquired a majority shareholding in IM Global, which has offices in Los Angeles, London, Mumbai and Mexico City.
